Stone Knapping
Stone knapping is the process of using two rocks to create heads for stone tools.
Right-clicking with a stack of two or more rocks will open a GUI for knapping a rock into a tool head. This is done by replicating the shape of the wanted tool head by clicking tiles individually on the grid to remove them, or by holding Left-click and dragging over the tiles you want to remove.
The tool head can then be used to make a stone tool by placing it directly above a stick in the crafting grid.
Knapping stone cannot be used to make armor, chisels, maces, pickaxes, prospector's picks, saws, scythes, or swords, and stone hoes do not have the ability to change tool mode that all metal hoes do.

Durability of Stone Tools
There are four types of stone: Sedimentary (50 durability), Metamorphic (55 durability), Igneous Intrusive (60 durability), and Igneous Extrusive (70 durability).
Leather Knapping
Leather knapping is the process of using leather in order to make leather armor or saddles.
Right-clicking with a piece of leather in your hand and a knife in your inventory will open up a GUI for knapping a piece of leather into a piece of armor or a saddle. This is done using the same process as stone knapping. (You have to replicate the shape of the wanted item by clicking tiles individually on the grid to remove them, or by holding Left-click and dragging over the tiles you want to remove.)
