Animals are Mobs which spawn on the surface, and drop Meat and other useful resources upon dying. Some animals, such as Cows or Chicken, are Livestock and can be familiarized and bred for products, while others, such as Bears, are Predators and will attack players and other mobs during specific times.

Livestock

Livestock are animals which can familiarized by being fed. Once their familiarization with the player is high enough, they will allow the player to harvest products from them, and may be bred. Livestock may grow old, and do not respawn.

Huntable animals are animals which cannot be bred and do not produce anything useful for the player. They cannot be fed, but you can still use their specified food to lead them around. They do not grow old, however they may respawn.
