Cassiterite |
Tin is a Non-Tool metal obtained by melting Cassiterite in a Ceramic Vessel or a Crucible.
Cassiterite is a rarer ore that only spawns in Ingeous Intrusive Rock - Diorite, Granite, and Gabbro.
Alloying and Smithing
While Tin can be used to create Double Ingots, Sheets and Double Sheets, these cannot be crafted into Tools or Armor.
Tin's primary use to Alloy with Copper to create the tier 2 metal Bronze.

Note: Metals are still workable at welding temperature
