Support beams are used to stabilize the surrounding stone. Support beams of different wood types can be used together interchangeably.
Note: Vertical support beams DO NOT support anything.
For a support beam to work, you must have 2 (or more) vertical support beams with a horizontal cross beam between them.
each horizontal section will support a 9x3x9 area of stone, centered on itself. One block above, One block below, and 4 out in each direction.
Without assistance of support beams, Cave-Ins are very likely.
