Obtaining
Thatch is made with four Straw.
Usage
Placing a single block of thatch in the crafting grid will return the 4 straw, making thatch blocks a compact method of straw storage.
Building
Thatch is one of the earliest and easiest Gravity-less blocks available. This allows you to easily make a roof for your house! The faster harvesting of the block also makes it easier to change down the road when you no longer want a Thatch roof.
Thatch also has a unique property of being able to walk through it. This allows you to make a simple door to help keep you safe but it will not stop mobs from coming in for a visit!
Also Thatch is required for making a Hide Bed.
