Welcome to No, a page dedicated to telling you No! How fantastic! Disclaimer: No may cause some unwanted side-effects. You should contact your general developer before using No. Side-effects include, brain melting, irrational rage and massive disappointment. If you notice any of these symptoms make sure to discontinue use of No and contact your general developer for other options.

You either have been directed because the idea you are suggesting to be added has been brought up before or you have come to pay your respects to the graveyard of submitted ideas. Just because your idea has been turned down doesn't mean you can't implement it yourself using other mods or your own addon!

Add Back X Feature from Classic that was removed!

Sorry but any features that where intentionally dropped like the Oz System, Taste System, the back slot, XP affecting health, and Micro-Blocks have been removed intentionally for compatibility with other mods. Many of these systems also didn't provide much and/or worked poorly. Remaking some of them would require far too much work when other people have made whole standalone systems that work better. (See: Chisel & Bits or Little Tiles for Micro-block systems.) See the differences page for more info on what's changed.

Rationale
Microblocks: The implementation was laggy/hacky in classic and other mods do it much better. There's no point in recreating a version of it that will be difficult to maintain when simply installing another mod and configuring it will allow for a better and more extensible implementation.

Old food weight/decay system: In modern MC modding there's no good way to implement food decaying in real time without ticking every item simultaneously. The local temperature was easy to cheat by laddering to the world height. Making food have weight is a big compatibility issue rather than food just being items with some extra metadata for decay dates.

Taste system: Frustrating and not intuitive for most players. Was never implemented fully in the first place. Doesn't effectively reward the player for varying their diet as much as the new nutrition system does

XP Health: XP is farmable and is often stored/used by other mods. It's not a good measure of progress (that's what skills are for)

Make/Port TFC for Fabric

Fabric was not very popular or finished when TFC work started. Instead of spending time learning a new tool set it was decided to stick with Forge for 1.12. The future is uncertain but for now TFC will remain Forge only.

Dirty Water / Disease

TFC is already hard enough for most general players and adding mechanics like this just makes the early game harder. It punishes the player for no good reason, and things like eating 'bad' food can be handled like Vanilla does and with the nutrition system. With a focus around exploring for materials a system like this will only hurt that idea.

Single Use Skills

Skills in TFC aren't intended to emulate an (MMO)RPG. The current skills are lackluster and could be improved. They should reward progress and be useful to the player.

Guns

Guns do not fit the philosophy of TFC. There are plenty of other mods that add guns which you can use instead. Otherwise bows will be the ranged weapon of choice.

Make X mod work like TFC

TFC isn't making any compatibility changes. You will need to use the tools provided to make them work together correctly or find something someone else made to do so.

Magic

TFC doesn't use magic, all the vanilla magic has also been removed by default. If you wish to add magic you can do so on your own.

Make Ingots Remember Alloy Content

Technically it's doable but comes at a price of compatibility and other issues. Thus this will never be done.

Player/Local Temperature

Minecraft isn't made to handle temperature well. With TFC this is slightly less so but it's not possible to make heat/cool-able rooms and temperature flows without drastically hurting performance. Sure X other mod may do it but it will never be worthwhile for TFC to add itself.

Cubic Chunks

TFC uses it's own world generator and systems. It's not possible to make compatible with Cubic Chunks without having two copies of it. It's not worth the dev time to try.

Coins / Currency / Etc

Adding RPG elements for very specific use cases are outside the scope of TFC. Adding stuff that is pretty much useless to the core gameplay creates bloat.

Obtaining Salt from Salt Water

From 2013, "Easy salt makes the food grind even more of a grind. It's no longer a welcome reward but is instead just another part of each players daily grind.... Scarcity gives value. This is a core part of TFC." The future of salt in 1.16+ is salt ore veins and the separate rock salt layer disappearing. See the Firmalife add-on for halite veins in 1.12.
