(Created page with "Casting is used early in the TFC tech tree and will be your first dive into metals. It will require a Small Vessel, some Ore and a Pit Kiln! =How To= Casting is m...")

(The Metals page also has a Melting & Casting section, and it’s small enough that I think it makes sense to keep all the info there (and that section now has info about all the different ways to melt metals, not just using a pit kiln))

#REDIRECT Metals#Melting & Casting

How To
Casting is made up of a few steps, most steps are similar to other aspects but some can be confusing.

# Grab a Small Vessel.

# Fill the Small Vessel with the Ore required for the Metal you require! Alloys require specific percentages, Make sure to double check or you will end up with Ingots of Shame!

# Place the filled Small Vessel inside of a Pit Kiln and light it.

# Wait....

# Once the Pit Kiln is done make sure to grab the Small Vessel quickly otherwise the Metal may solidify again!

# While holding the Small Vessel Right Click it to open the casting GUI.

# Place the Mold that should be filled inside the slot.

# Wait...

# Once full remove the filled Mold from the slot and if the Metal is still molten fill another!

# Now place the filled Mold in the crafting grid to retrieve that creamy cent..., the item you just made!

Fun Facts!
You can also pour molten metals from any other molten container into another! Perhaps you filled the wrong Mold? Right Click with it and dump it into the correct one!

Add UI screenshots, and some other magic.
